A human living on the street thinks about the next meal she/he will be having.
Whereas a human living in a mediocre home thinks about her/his kid's education.
And an individual living in a huge bungalow will think about the next high-end car they would like to buy.
Recently i had been to an event in Hyderabad through my college. It was a birthday function for a kid of about 12 years. The decor, arrangements, furniture, food served, etc, would amount to more than 2 crores. Considering the fact that India is a country where every 1/6 kids in the world die due to starving(UN survey), is pathetic. This clearly shows the prevalence of concept of "accumulation of wealth". That profusely rich family, instead of feeding the wealthy individuals could have given the same amount to an orphanage.
When this idea of mine was shared with few of my friends, two kinds of responses were received.
1) Wouldn't you do the same thing to your kid if you have the same amount of money in the future?
2) How are we to survive if these filthy rich fellows do not celebrate such stuffs in this grand a manner?
My dear friends, if at all i have the same amount of money in the future, to celebrate my kid's birthday, i would contribute 90% of the money to an orphanage/old age home & rest 10% a function at my home for relatives & friends.
We humans have so many options for survival. We are all smart enough to search another job if not for these high-end parties.
Common friends, why don't we start thinking out of box? The Gen-Y is supposed to be thinking everything differently and implementing ideas which are for the benefit of the whole globe, as this is the age of Globalization. An India where there is not a single beggar on the streets. Just give it a thought. How amazing it looks! Isn't it?
Its not possible over night. Agreed!
Its not possible by a single individual. Agreed!
Its not possible without the contribution of Govt. Agreed!
Its not possible by people who have the heart alone(huge money is of great importance). Agreed!
Its not possible by Indian Youth. Nope! Not at all agreeable!!!
Everything's possible by the Gen-Y of India which is a contemporary mixture of speed, style, technology & Gandhian Principles. Which is waiting to change the future of Indian politics. An India where there are students who go abroad, gain knowledge, come back to mother land and become entrepreneurs.
It is 100% possible by the youth of India!
To create a country where not a single individual is found without having 3 meals a day!
To create a country where not a single individual is found begging on the streets!
To create a country where not a single student will go abroad to earn money!
To create a country where not a single sign of "Brain Drain" will be found!
To uplift our nation's pride & respect level must be the priority of the purpose of our lives, apart from partying with friends & moving out to watch a movie with our family. As already stated, its impossible to achieve all the above mentioned goals to be accomplished by virtue of a single human. A huge gathering of hearts with money to spend is a compulsion. Ironically these two are rarely found together.
So its better to make it a habit--> once we start earning, we should contribute every 1% of money we earn to an orphanage /old age home, every month. And surely, there will be a time when revolution will take place & change the complete face of our country. Lets hope for that time to be here soon.
Lets start realizing
Our purpose of life!
Our role in the society!
Our contribution to the nation!
Regards,
Fellow Indian!
